Occurrence of hemorrhoids can be cured at home if the condition is not critical and has been diagnosed in the preliminary stages .hemorrhoids basically are inflammation of the veins due to certain underlying conditions .as a result lumps are formed which are termed as hemorrhoids or piles .these disease has become a common problem among the human population due to long hours of work and eating less nutritious food. The most common symptom is the emergence of blood along with the stool. This is one of the preliminary signs of a piles problem. This is combined with mild pain along the regions where the hemorrhoids exists.
You can temporarily relieve the mild pain, swelling and inflammation of most hemorrhoid flare-ups with the following self-care
measures
1. Use topical treatments: If your condition is mild you can get relieve from the pain by using over the counter creams .these creams contain hydrocortisone .you can also use pads which contain witch hazel or a tropical numbing agent.
2. Always maintain good sanitary habits and keep the anal area clean. Take bathes regularly and cleanse the skin around your anus with warm water. Always make sure that you does not use soap on the infected regions as it might aggravate the problem. Also after bath try to dry the area with a hair dryer.
3. Soak regularly using a warm towel and do it a number of times as possible
4. In order to relieve the existent swelling put ice packs or cold compresses on the anus in order to relieve the pain.
5. If a hemorrhoid has prolapsed try gently pushing the hemorrhoid back into the anal cavity.
6. Never use dry toilet paper .always use a wet towel or a moist toilet paper after a bowel movement.
7. Taking oral medications like. Acetaminophen (Tylenol, others), aspirin or ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin,
others). These kind of products might relieve your pain and discomfort which might have been caused due to piles.
8. A sits bath with warm water. A sits bath fits over the toilet. You can get one at a medical supply store or some pharmacies.
These home remedies are only useful at the initial stage of hemorrhoids. If even after doing the above you are not getting any kind of relieve than your hemorrhoid condition has aggravated and you need professional help of a doctor. |
