Hemorrhoids has now become a common phenomenon among the population . almost 50% of the population have shown symptoms of hemorrhoids sometimes in there lives. eating food devoid of fibrous content and stressful lifestyles has lead to the increase in frequency of the problem among the human population. Most of the occasions these problems are not serious and requires only home treatment using over the counter medications, ointments or pads containing some kind of anti inflammatory agent along with daily warm baths. but if the pain is too much of a problem and you are not being able to treat it with off the counter medications you might need to see a doctor and might even need a surgery. if there is a blood clot in an external hemorrhoid it can easily be removed with a simple incision which provides for instant relief.

However all complications showing symptoms of piles should be taken seriously as they are also symptoms of some more serious problems like colon cancer .also hemorrhoids specially internal hemorrhoids if left untreated can cause severe damages to the body. an aggravating hemorrhoids which has been left untreated might cause severe pain during bowel movement. Also it might cause infection in the digestive tract of the individual.

However external hemorrhoids are far more painful than the internal hemorrhoids this is because in internal anal membranes lack pain sensitive nerve fibers but our external surface has a very sensitive pain nerve fiber. Often blood may pool in an external hemorrhoid and form a clot (thrombus), causing severe pain, swelling and inflammation. When irritated, external hemorrhoids can itch or bleed. internal hemorrhoids cause mucus discharge and a sensation of incomplete evacuation, and external hemorrhoids cause difficulty in cleansing the anal region.
